This place has not changed since the first time I started to go here over 30 years ago. I am the University of Iowa class of 1997, and nothing has changed in here except for more TVs :-) I had some great chicken wings and some bottled beers. It’s nice to see establishments still thriving after all these years.
It is great to see the Vine is still in business. Last time I was here was last Millennium. Tuesday night Wing Special still worth hitting up.

Always the best wings. Tuesday is wing night at a very good price. They are very friendly. Love the variety of sauces . Not much luck with mixed drinks, but you can't go wrong with a cold beer and wings, especially ones that still have a crisp bite!. I got 2 dozen and ordered one more to take home for my husband. There was an edit above, and now this is an update. I met a sweet gall working and told her about our misfortune with mixed drinks. She had some recommendations that sealed the deal for my mom to return without the, love the wings but wth am I going to drink this time. What a save! Thank you. Sorry for your recent loss.
Visiting from out of town. Everyone told me the wings were award winning. They were NOT WRONG. Perfectly cooked, tender, a bit of crispy, the sauce was incredible. They actually turned the fryers back on just for us, as we were in a little after kitchen close. Service doesn't get much better than that! (p.s. certain days a stein of beer is only 5-7 bucks)

Nice sports bar not too far from campus in Iowa City. Great wings! Good service as well. A bit difficult to find parling.
Had these wings in Tempe AZ years ago and when our road trip was going to be taking us through Iowa City I HAD to recommend the stop. We got a couple orders of mild wings to go and they were as delicious as I remember! Pro-tip ask for well-done if you like your wings with a crunch. Happy to be able to have supported local as well!
